R.S.T Iberia was founded in 1994 by Peter J. Blackmore in Spain. The company specializes in the sale of water-saving products sourced from leading manufacturers around the world. A well structured worldwide distribution network has ensured a steady growth of our customer base. Among our many clients are international wholesalers, hotels, banks, public institutions, etc. The product line expanded steadily over the years with new, innovative products, and sales figures rose steadily until 2008.
In 2008 the serious problems began for RST Iberia: On the one hand, the purchase prices and therefore selling prices for high quality water saving products increased to the point that we were unable to remain competitive in the marketplace; this was exacerbated by the global financial crisis affecting all markets, and also the relentless prices increases of the world copper price.
The company had to act.
Realignment to stave off disaster: From 2009-2010
With years of experience in the distribution of water-saving products and a solid knowledge of the needs of our retail and wholesale customers, RST Iberia realized that the time had come to develop its own product line.
With our “AMSA” brand of high-quality products, we continue to further the development of existing water-saving products whose patents have expired. (The former proprietor does not like to hear this check German Patent & Trademark Office at http://www.dpma.de/english/index.html).
In spite of the very complex patterns and textures involved, we have nevertheless managed to source the highest quality products that stand up to comparison with much more expensive products from other brands and vendors on the market. Fair and predictable pricing for our customers can be achieved thanks to the large quantities that we are buying from our suppliers, in addition to our ability to forecast demand, closely monitor the market as well as our simple and a streamlined corporate structure. In short, we are able to buy and market our quality products cost-effectively.
We pass on these considerable savings to our customers, who in turn have “AMSA” and soon the “AMSA-ECO” products at a significantly cheaper price and delivery options than what is offered by our competition in the marketplace. In August of 2011, RST Iberia is to relocate its global headquarters to Torono, Canada. Our European business will continue to be served through a centraly located distribution point and by a well-staffed branch office.
